Please review my Services page to see how I could assist you. I strive to ensure that all clients feel welcome, safe, and heard.

For Immigration Psychological Evaluations:

I provide psychological evaluations for immigration cases such as asylum, extreme hardship, or VAWA cases, which can greatly improve the chance of winning the case. Please ensure you already have an immigration lawyer or legal representation prior to contacting me to request an appointment. I will typically meet with you twice via secure videoconferencing and we will ensure an interpreter is available if I do not speak your language. I will also ask you to complete some mental health screening questionnaires, prior to me completing your written evaluation. I will provide you and your lawyer with a copy of your evaluation results.

For Psychotherapy Services:

STEP 1: CONTACT ME

To request your free 15-minute phone consultation, please contact me and I will respond soon to coordinate a time when we can speak by phone. I do not charge for phone consultations that are less than 15 minutes; over 15 minutes is prorated to the session fee. For information about office policy and fees, please see the Fees page.

STEP 2: REGISTER WITH CLIENT PORTAL

During the phone screening, if we are a good fit we can schedule an in-person 60 minute consultation and if appropriate, move forward with therapy. I will email you a link to a secure Client Portal that will allow you to (1) access and download my practice documents for your review and (2) complete an intake questionnaire before coming to your initial consultation appointment, so we can maximize the time we have together. The Client Portal will also allow you to securely enter your payment information, access invoices/superbills, and upload documents for me to review.

STEP 3: INITIAL CONSULTATION

The initial consultation appointment (via telehealth) entails reviewing your intake forms, further discussing the presenting issue(s) for which you are seeking therapy, and gathering information about your history/background. The initial consultation will determine if we are a good fit for an ongoing assessment to determine if you need treatment.

STEP 4: ASSESSMENT & TREATMENT PLANNING

Following the consultation, we can begin meeting regularly to continue and complete the assessment, and then collaborate towards the structure and goals for your treatment. This typically takes 2-4 weeks and entails gathering relevant developmental, mental health, and relational information through oral interviews, completion of mental health screening questionnaires, and observations via sessions.

STEP 5: PSYCHOTHERAPY

Therapy sessions are by appointment only and are 60-90 minutes in length, depending on prior arrangement. Sessions are typically held at a weekly frequency, depending on client need, availability, and engagement in services. Sessions are provided via telehealth (secure, video-based sessions).
