  • Do you provide teletherapy (video based sessions)?

    • Yes, I provide telehealth session to California residents. This allows services to be more accessible and convenient for clients.

  • I do not live in California. Can you be my therapist?

    • Under California law, I cannot treat clients who reside outside of California (as I am only licensed within California).

  • I want to pay for services using my insurance, but it does not look like you accept my insurance. Can you join my panel?

    • I am in-network with Kaiser Permanente Norcal and Blue Shield of California to provide outpatient psychotherapy services. I do not plan to contract with additional insurance panels at this time, but as an “Out of Network” provider, I can provide you with a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance carrier for possible reimbursement. Or, we can make an agreement for private pay (out of pocket) services.

  • How long is your waitlist? How long will it take before I can be treated by you?

    • The wait time varies...sometimes when I receive inquiries, we can quickly get started if I have just ended services without another client and a therapy slot is available, but other times it takes longer. It is difficult for me to provide an exact estimate, but if it is too long of a wait, I can also provide some referrals if I know what individuals are seeking from therapy. I also tend to respond faster to inquiries via email. There are very limited slots available.

  • Do you provide therapy in other languages?

    • I speak other languages (Urdu and Hindko - a dialect similar to Punjabi) and have very limited fluency in Arabic, Pashto/Pukhto, and German, but do not provide therapy in those languages. On occasions, I take on clients who are bilingual in English and one of the above languages, and our sessions include these languages, but my responses are usually in English since that is the language that I am “therapeutically” well-versed in.

  • Are you available for speaking engagements or to provide trainings related to mental health?

    • Due to time constraints, I am only able to take on a limited number of speaking engagements or trainings at this time. Please contact me, preferably via email (for a faster response), and we can discuss if I have availability and would be the best fit for what you have in mind.
