To request your free 15-minute phone consultation, please contact me and I will respond soon to coordinate a time when we can speak by phone. I do not charge for phone consultations that are less than 15 minutes; over 15 minutes is prorated to the session fee. For information about office policy and fees, please see the Fees page.
During the phone screening, if we are a good fit we can schedule an in-person 80-minute consultation and if appropriate, move forward with therapy. I will email you a link to a secure Client Portal that will allow you to (1) access and download my practice documents for your review and (2) complete an intake questionnaire before coming to your initial consultation appointment, so we can maximize the time we have together. The Client Portal will also allow you to securely enter your payment information as well as set up appointment reminders if you would like to.
The initial consultation appointment entails reviewing your intake forms, further discussing the presenting issue(s) for which you are seeking therapy, and gathering information about your history/background. The initial consultation will determine if we are a good fit for an ongoing assessment to determine if you need treatment.
Following the consultation, we can begin meeting regularly to continue and complete the assessment, and then collaborate towards the structure and goals for your treatment. This typically takes 4-6 weeks and entails gathering relevant developmental, mental health, and relational information through oral interviews, completion of mental health screening questionnaires, and observations in my office.
Therapy sessions are by appointment only and are 50-80 minutes in length, depending on prior arrangement. Sessions are typically held at a weekly frequency, depending on client need, availability, and engagement in services.
